Writer and producer Angela Keating is planning to produce an evening of 4-5 short plays in mid 2017. Rehearsals will be in central London so please ensure (if you want to be involved) you can travel there.
Additionally: “You must be open to the director possibly having a different vision for your writing.”
[LPB Editor’s Note: You might choose to iron out exactly what the boundaries of this ‘different vision’ are before agreeing to take part, because while creative collaboration is always necessary, this is not a standard clause for a new writing night.]
What to submit: Your script should meet the following requirements:
- Genre: Comedy, Drama, Romance, Satire (If you have another genre then please do submit, you never know) though those are the preferences.
- Time: Minimum 15 minutes to a Maximum of 20 minutes (no leeway on this)
- Characters: Maximum 3
Financial details: Profit share split

Yes, clarification is needed on what is meant by “You must be open to the director possibly having a different vision for your writing.” Why is this clause in? The ‘vision’ for a work usually comes from the person who has written it, i.e. the writer, and the job of the creative team is to realise that ‘vision’. Why is something different being hinted at here? Has the director/s had a bad experience with a playwright or what?
