Sapphic Voices are looking for women playwrights for a radio slot

Sapphic Voices are looking for women playwrights who’d like a wee segment of their work featured on their RadioReverb 97.2fm. Monologues, duologues or segments of full plays are all welcome. Only stipulation is that pieces must feature strong women characters. Your play will be performed as part of the show! All women welcome.

  1. Hi
I’m a woman and I write plays when I’m not in an insufferable mode of procrastination. Lockdown has helped me reconnect with the keyboard and my creativity.
I’d love to submit something to you in the hope it meets your requirements and helps with your search for women playwrights.

I have full length plays, published play, monologues and drafts in progress.
Haven’t been writing for ages so keen to reignite my writing mojo.

Most of my work is themed around the British asian experience, often dark comedy.

    Kind Regards,

    Yasmin Whittaker-Khan

    1. Hi Yasmin,

Great to hear you’ve managed to use this time to reconnect with the keyboard and reignite your writing mojo.

The London Playwrights Blog doesn’t actually run this opportunity. If you would like to get in contact with Sapphic Voices, please contact them with this email address twigwish@tutanota.com

Best of luck with your endeavour!

      Jack.
