Cast Iron Theatre accepting submissions for short play night

Cast Iron Theatre‘s writing window is now open for their twelfth short play night in April.

This time it’s an open theme, you get to write exactly what YOU want to write!

Cast Iron Theatre are looking for are plays that are exciting, fresh and explore narratives with challenging themes or make them see the ordinary in a different way. They are looking for plays that tell a concise and complete story in around 10 minutes. They accept drama and comedy – which means they will accept funny plays but are unlikely to accept sketches.

Submission guidelines:

  • Entries are limited to 1 play per writer.
  • 2-4 characters.
  • Scripts should be around ten minutes long.
  • Black box stage – so limit your set, props and FX
  • Theme: Free write – There is no theme
