Dreamfusion seeking experienced screenwriter for feature (paid)

Experienced screenwriter wanted for feature film script development

Dreamfusion production company is seeking a screenwriter with writing credits on at least one released feature and/or writer credits for a televised drama, to develop an existing treatment into a screenplay for a feature-length film.

They  are planning a feature film drama to be shot in the Midlands featuring themes of disability, sport, family challenges and overcoming adversity. Based on real-life events, it is of the utmost importance that the screenwriter can honour the amazing people behind their moving and inspiring story, while also injecting humour and bringing every one of the characters to life.Due to the nature of the story, it will be necessary for the chosen screenwriter to carry out in-depth research on the subject matter during development of the screenplay. A considerable amount of research and interview material has already been gathered to support this process.

“The proposed length of project engagement will be April 2017 to August 2018 and we will require a first draft of the screenplay within six months of the commission being awarded. The estimated shoot date will be August 2018. This is a paid commission in accordance with Writers’ Guild fee guidelines.

At this time, we would like to receive expressions of interest from screenwriters who have written at least one feature-length screenplay for a produced and screened feature film or equivalent length TV drama. Film work should have had theatrical or other release or have been shown at a major film festival.”

Shortlisted candidates will be asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
