Extreme Response writing opportunity at The Space for ‘The Domestic Extremists’

As part of the Space’s Spring Season, OddServants theatre company are looking for a crack team of writers to work in response to The Domestic Extremists by Dan Davies. Opening at the Space February 10th, this new Arts Council Funded play is an uncompromising expose of how the media struggle to cover real dissent. We are looking for four Extreme Response plays to show case in an afternoon performance on Sunday February 22nd.

How it works:  Come and see The Domestic Extremists on Tuesday 10th or Wednesday 11th of February. Use the code WRITER (in caps) when booking online for a 40% discounted ticket at £8. Then write your 15 minute play in response and submit it to the OddServants@gmail.com before midday, February 15th. The producers will then pick four to be performed at the Extreme Response performance 4pm February 22nd.

What to submit:  Your play must be brand new and inspired by The Domestic Extremists. It must have a contemporary setting and feature a maximum of three characters. It must be complete (not an extract) and no more than 15 pages in length. Write it specifically for the Space Arts Centre to be performed using The Domestic Extremists’ existing set and staging.

How to apply:  MS Word or PDF files should be sent by email to OddServants@gmail.com prior to midday on Sunday February 15. Late entries will only be accepted in exceptional circumstances.
Note submission is on a voluntary basis. There are no costs or fees associated with the project.
