London performing arts charity, KDC Theatre, have been running a new writing project annually for the last few years to encourage new writers and promote efficient storytelling, here are the details of their latest scheme:
What writers should submit
Short plays:
- Related to our theme “Obsession”
- Include or mention a mandatory prop: “bottle of cheap wine”
- No longer than 4 sides of A4 paper (ie. about 8 minutes)
- No more than 3 actors
Entry is free. Successful scripts will be included in a fully staged anthology production with the other winning entries in a week at a London theatre in June.
If the pandemic doesn’t allow us to stage the show in person, we will move to Zoom.
