Last minute opp! Attune Theatre CIC seeking plays that have had a short run (Glasgow City)

Attune Theatre CIC are looking to revive plays for a new season of old work.

“My play’s on next week. Can you come?”

“Sorry. Is it on the week after?”

Do you feel like this happens a lot? There are probably a lot of plays just sitting on a Hard Drive somewhere, and Attune Theatre would like people to see those plays. If you have a play which has only had a short run, and you’d like people to see it again, they would like to help you.

Attune Theatre pay a cast to perform your work, script-in-hand, for a couple of performances and compensate you for the rights. They will also publicise the Production extensively and invite whomever you wish.

Just to be clear, this is not a commission. Attune Theatre will simply be looking for the Rights for your play for a couple of performances. They will pick a venue based on your play, and it’s potential audience.

Attune already have contact with venues and members of the press. They also have an established network of actors they can call upon. Last year, they revived Alan Bissett’s Ching Room. This should give you an idea of the size and scale of what they are planning.

That said, the package Attune offer you will very much dependant on your play and the potential they see in it. So please send them your script. They are not going to place arbitrary limits on the content. However, this is not a funded programme. So every penny they spend on this they need to justify to their bottom line.

If you’d like any further information, feel free to get in contact. Attune will happily answer any and all questions.
