Listening, Hearing, Seeing
A free Radius online workshop led by BBC radio dramatist Nick Warburton (The Archers, Tommies, Holding Back the Tide)
Saturday 20 February – 2.30 to 4.00 pm GMT
“Writers don’t do writing: they do listening, hearing and seeing.” (Sebastian Barry)
‘Listening, Hearing and Seeing’ is a workshop on writing drama for a listening audience. Nick will consider the importance of language, the creation of character, the use of the narrative voice, and the significance of structure, and will present case studies which take a detailed look at the way audio drama works. There’ll also be some short exercises to get you started on your own audio dramas.
Limited numbers. To register free of charge, email info@radiusdrama.org.uk .
