Little Pieces of Gold is staging another new writing night on the 28th April 2019 at Southwark Playhouse.
8 plays will be selected and then cast and rehearsed by Little Pieces of Gold’s directing team.
Plays should address some highly topical, ‘in the news’ theme that’s really keeping you awake at night. For example: global warming; brexit; far right/populist movements; fake news; social media addiction; #metoo movement; the rise in loneliness; housing shortage; human/animal rights.
Submission guidelines:
- 4 character limit
- No extracts from full length plays and no film/tv screenplays
- UK playwrights only (please confirm in your email that you are a UK resident)
- minimal effects
- 10 minute running time

You don’t need to provide a CV, they are only interested in your plays and have produced the first plays of lots of writers. They are committed to discovering writers from all backgrounds, it’s the writing that matters.
