LPW: Introducing our 3 Play Club Writers!

Next week we’ll be kicking off Play Club and sending out the first script! But before that we’ll be taking a look at our three Play Club writers, creators behind the incredible new plays you’ll have the chance to read and respond to! First up…

Julie Tsang

Julie won Scotland’s Short Play Award 2017 and is one of New Earth Theatre writers 2019. Recent credits: Giraffe Alphabetti Theatre, All Noise Theatre 503, Fix Unbroken Theatre & Pleasance Theatre. The Family Unit will be staged at the WPI Conference in Montréal 2022. Julie is currently on a writers attachment with Oxford Playhouse, Wild Child and CBBC.

Our next Play Club writer is…

Emma Dawson

Emma is a playwright and short story writer. Her play, Mum, was shortlisted for Through the Mill Playwriting Prize and her audio commission, Diltie Moss, will air in May 2021 with Eclectic Full Contact Theatre. Emma’s short plays have been performed at Theatre503, Battersea Arts Centre, and Pleasance Theatre.

Our final Play Club writer is…

Scott Younger

Scott is an emerging playwright and scriptwriter based in Cambridgeshire. He is a UEA graduate, with a BA in Drama and English Literature. Scott has written and performed comedy sketches for BBC Radio Norfolk and BBC Radio Cambridgeshire. He has also worked as a script reader for The Space theatre.
