Interested in LGBTQ+ drama but unsure where to start? want to check terminology, approaches and know where to submit your work? or are you interested in the history of LGBTQ+ theatre in order to inform your writing?
This workshop will do both. Giving you an overview of previous LGBTQ key works, current debates around LGBTQ writing and advice on where to focus your storytelling. We will also cover terminology, approaches to LGBTQ+ characters and relationships and guide you on inclusive theatre companies/organisations to submit your work.
Led by Emily Garside, an academic who specialises in LGBTQ+ theatre, and member of the LGBTQ+ community.
