Back ready for Halloween! This 5-week course will introduce you to the untapped potential of horror theatre. Participants
will explore how the unique nature of theatre lends itself to all things terrifying and write
their own short plays which will receive feedback. Run by writer and director Sam Essame,
this course is for anyone who wants to try something new, whether you’re a horror fan new to
the medium or a theatre fan new to the genre. Join us (if you dare!).
Dates: Mondays 5pm-7pm from 4 October 2021 for 5 weeks.
Sam is a playwright, director, dramaturg and producer. He is an alumnus of Papatango’s
WriteWest workshop programme and the HighTide Theatre Academy. He is also co-Artistic
Director of Danse Macabre Productions, producer of the South West Horror Festival and a
theatre writer for the London Horror Society.
