Rollem seeking young writers aged 18-27 based in the North of England

Rollem are looking for enthusiastic young aspiring writers aged 18-27 based in the North of England to take part in a “think-tank” for an exciting new show that will showcase the unique voice of today’s youth.

This is a chance for you to put your ideas forward and have a say in what TV for young people should be, while seeing the inner workings of a story conference and contributing to the development of a brand new series. You’ll also have the opportunity to be taken on as a writer on the series, should it be taken into further development.

Who can apply: applicants need no previous official writing credits but should have some experience within stage, radio, television, or film/short film and have a passion for story and storytelling.

Any submissions sent after this time will be disregarded. All applicants will be notified by 17th October. If successful, you will need to be available for a full day story session on Friday 26th October in Leeds – Location TBC.

  • Name, Age, Address, Email and Contact Number.
  • Short Bio outlining your experience to date.

Please also answer the follow questions:

1. What’s your favourite or least favourite show of the last 5 years and why? What worked for you about the story or what didn’t, and what would you change? (300 words maximum.)

2. What’s something you would want to see depicted on screen that speaks to the youth of today? This should be something that you haven’t previously seen on TV or feel there is a more effective way of showing it. (300 words maximum).
