  1. Hello,

My name is Fahmidah Ahmed. I am 18 years old and I am sending you a draft of a script that I have made, hoping that one day it becomes solicited and published on television. my show is called ‘Desi Girl’ ‘Desi’ means Asian

I have written this script all by myself, with no help and yes, I have no experience in writing. It’s a passion of mine to make this a success and I am hoping that there will be at least one company out there that can see the potential of it truly being a success. Though my TV show is an Asian drama/comedy show I have tailored it in a way to make sure that audiences from different backgrounds will watch this show since it will include many people from different ethnicities, particularly from ethnic minorities. For example, I intend to have many dance and musicals within my TV shows of popular Indian songs that have already been broadcasted on the popular youtube account called T-series. However, I would definitely include people from different origins to participate in order to reflect the diversity we have in the UK. I really would like to make the Asian community more recognised in the TV industry. Right now, all we have is ‘Akley Bridge’ and ‘Citizen Khan’ which only portray Pakistani people to reflect all Asian ethnics. My show will display all Asian backgrounds form different countries as well as the African Community.

I would love to send my scripts and work over so you could take a look at it. I look forward to hearing back from you

    Kind Regards

    Fahmidah Ahmed
