The Shore Screenwriting Competition is currently accepting submissions of short and feature length films. They have also added a TV Pilot category, new for 2016. The competition provides the opportunity to have your script read by professional production companies.
What you pay: There are three different deadlines, with different fees.
1 March – 31 May: Early Bird Deadline £30
1 June – 31 July: Regular Deadline £35
1 – 31 August: Late Deadline: £40
What you get: There are five different levels of prizes (detailed here). First prize wins £2,000, Celtx Software, Professional memberships, Screenwriting books, and other benefits.
What to submit: Scripts should be formatted in size 12 Courier. Feature length scripts should run 80-120 pages, short submissions should be 3-20 pages. TV submissions should be 15-70 pages. Detailed rules for entry can be found here. All genres are accepted.
