Shore Screenwriting Competition 2016 (up to £2,000 cash prize, £25-£35 entry fee)

The Shore Screenwriting Competition is currently accepting submissions of short and feature length films.  They have also added a TV Pilot category, new for 2016.  The competition provides the opportunity to have your script read by professional production companies.

What you pay:  There are three different deadlines, with different fees.

1 March – 31 May: Early Bird Deadline £30
1 June – 31 July: Regular Deadline £35
1 – 31 August: Late Deadline: £40

What you get:  There are five different levels of prizes (detailed here).  First prize wins £2,000, Celtx Software, Professional memberships, Screenwriting books, and other benefits.

What to submit:  Scripts should be formatted in size 12 Courier.  Feature length scripts should run 80-120 pages, short submissions should be 3-20 pages.  TV submissions should be 15-70 pages. Detailed rules for entry can be found here.  All genres are accepted.

How to apply:  Applications can be made through their website.  (Make sure you’ve selected the right page for either feature or short submissions!)

Deadline:  31 May 2016 (early bird deadline); 31 July 2015 (regular deadline); 31 August 2015 (final deadline)
