The St. James Theatre is inviting applications from writers, musical theatre partnerships, and theatre makers in the early stages of their career, to respond to the story, music, themes and characters within the main productions at HighTide Festival.
St. James RE:act brings together emerging writers/theatre makers, directors and a group of actors wanting to create a new piece of theatre. Written or devised in 24 hours, rehearsed at quick fire speed and performed at the Aldeburgh Music Garage at HighTide Festival on Saturday 17 September, these impulsive pieces will be a perfect companion for the festival.
This opportunity covers expenses and pays a fee to participants. The amount will be shared upon selection.
What to submit/How to apply: Writers are required to complete an application form which details why they want to take part in the opportunity and includes a sample of their work. The form can be downloaded from the St. James website.
Deadline: Wednesday 3 August 2016 at 5pm
