The Lion & Unicorn Theatre are looking for work to programme

London has the most amazing and diverse pool of brilliant theatre-making talent, and The Lion & Unicorn Theatre want to create a warm, supportive and creative hub for people to come and make their work, no matter what story they want to tell. So whether you’re making work based on new writing, gig theatre, comedy, children’s shows, physical theatre, one person shows, improv or an interesting take on an old classic, they want to hear from you. Submissions are now open for the following programmes:

  • SEASON THREE – JAN – JULY 2020 (JAN 14 – JUL 31 2020)

  • CAMDEN FRINGE 2020 – APPLICATIONS OPEN JAN 2020

In addition to the above they also accept speculative programming throughout the year.

What they programme? 
  • Long Run (2/3 Weeks) for promising brand new work

  • Short Runs

  • Scratch Nights & one-off performances

  • R&D, Ed Fringe previews and other short works

  • Anything weird and wonderful – come send them your ideas!

How they can support you?
  • Space to make and perform your work in a prestigious Zone 1 location.

  • Favourable hire terms.

  • Free rehearsal space (for longer runs) – by arrangement

  • FOH & Box Office Support

  • Production support and creative feedback on your project.

  • Support with Marketing & PR

  • Advice, Guidance and Mentoring on staging your work from industry experts.

  • Supportive relationships with industry partners who can help produce your work and make it happen

They want dynamic, enthusiastic theatre-makers with GREAT stories to tell. They are looking for hardworking and focused individuals and companies who are committed to producing great work and to putting every effort into promoting their shows, selling tickets, and bringing the best audiences they can and supporting the other artists and creatives they work with.
