Phoenix Cinema and Art Centre in Leicester has an upcoming Q&A for women and non-binary creatives with screenwriter Thara Popoola, whose credits include Sex Education, Queenie, Crongton, Dreaming Whilst Black, Black Ops and Pierre. She also co-founded Black Women in Scripted. The discussion will focus on Thara’s career journey from being selected for the Channel4 Screenwriting Scheme in 2021 to being a full time screenwriter for television. After the talk, there will be an opportunity to network with fellow writers, filmmakers, and artists.
