As part of It’s My Shout 2018, they are inviting scriptwriters to submit short film scripts so that their work can be considered for this year’s scheme.
It’s My Shout has a proven record over the last 20 years of producing BAFTA winning short films alongside its broadcast partners BBC Cymru Wales and S4C.
It’s My Shout is looking for an exciting and diverse range of films. This year they are looking for comedy to form part of the slate. BBC Writersroom will be attached to the process.
They would look favourably on scripts that would have the scope to include young characters (between 12 – 24 years of age) from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds, reflecting modern Wales. Socio-economic, cultural diversity and inclusion is important to them, and they would encourage large casts if appropriate. They are looking for creative work which covers a diverse and wide range of genres and subject matters. This is only a guideline and they would not exclude scripts that didn’t include these features.
Films will be shot in North Wales, West Wales, South Wales Valleys, Cardiff and Newport.
The successful candidates will bring their scripts to life in a 10-15 minute film to be broadcasted on BBC Wales or S4C and premiered at a gala showing in September.
This opportunity is available to anyone in the industry or outside who has a passion to create an original and visionary script.
Filming will take place throughout the Summer, 2018.
