London Playwrights Festival – FREE Zoom Workshop: Making Work Using Performance and Improvisation Techniques

To celebrate the London Playwrights Festival 2021, we’re bringing you a series of online workshops! Session are FREE but if you’d like to support the festival, there is an option to ‘pay what you can’ for your ticket!

Making Work Using Performance and Improvisation Techniques

Sometimes a piece of writing demands a different approach to the well known technique of a typewriter and a desk, be it for a single scene to capture a sense of realism, or for an entire play that requires frequent collaboration to help it come to life.

Led by Selwin Hulme-Teague, this workshop will look at some of the ways that performance and improvisation can be used to generate character, setting and text.

You do not have to be a skilled actor or improviser to come to this workshop, just be ready to try out both a bit of performing and a bit of writing!

Please note: due to the nature of this workshop and wanting people to feel comfortable to experiment, we will not be able to record this session for the festival on demand line-up.
