It’s London Writers’ Week 2018!

We are super excited to be partners for the week for the third year running. This year’s theme is ‘film’ and profits from the week go to organisations which help promote diversity in the arts.

Not booked yet? Check out the full programme of London Writers’ Week events here.

As always, LPB will be bringing you some exciting events as part of the week, check them out here – and don’t forget to book your spot!

From Stage to Screen

19 July 2018: 3pm – 5.30pm – £10

Led by playwright and screenwriter Freddie Machin, From Stage to Screen is a practical workshop which will explore the challenges presented in writing for these two different media. Drawing on the experience of adapting his debut stage play for screen, Freddie will lead participants through a series of exercises that will engage the visual imagination, highlight good structure, and encourage brevity in your writing. All levels welcome. Read the full details and book here.

Creative Inspiration: Building an Idea

21 July 2018: 3pm – 4.30pm – £5

In this upbeat and dynamic session with LPB’s Kimberley Andrews, you’ll explore different ways to find inspiration and generate ideas for scripts through practical exercises. You’ll then work on turning one of your ideas into a film premise, which you’ll get the chance to pitch within a small group for feedback. Read the full details and book here.
