Theatre Writer/Creative, Enact Solutions Ltd

Enact Solutions are looking to recruit a theatre writer/creative for an upcoming school’s tour aimed at raising awareness of roles within the NHS and social care. We hope to inspire the next generation of students to become excited about playing a part in our healthcare future! The successful applicant will be tasked with writing/creating an interactive 35-minute piece of touring theatre, that will travel to primary schools nationally in June/July 2022. The target age range for the show will be years 5 and 6.

We will be using multi-media and filmed content as part of the production and are looking to cast up to 3 actors. At Enact Solutions we place a high emphasis on comedy, energy and interactivity in our performances, with this in mind we’re looking to create an engaging and well-paced ensemble/multi-role piece, in which all actors bring to life the various professional pathways you can take in the NHS and healthcare systems.

Ideally, we are looking for a writer with experience in creating quality children’s theatre with an interest in researching the subject matter. Devising and directing experience is also welcomed but not essential.

To apply: please email us introducing yourself and your CV. We would also request those interested in applying create a 5 min video or short written application (however you prefer), outlining how you would approach the content. We would then invite successful applicants to meet with our creative team for a zoom interview, in which we will ask you to showcase your ideas and writing. You’re welcome to reach out if you have questions as well to creative@enactsolutions.com

Interviews will take place on the week commencing Monday the 28th of March.

Final draft to be completed by the 22nd of April 2022 – Apart from specific creative meetings we are happy for the successful applicant to work flexibly up to this deadline. Please note we will be asking for at least three drafts total before the final piece is delivered.
