Each week we look through our pile of writing opportunities to pick out one we think is particularly worth your time. It could be an innovative brief, great prize money, a high-profile company, or just plain fun.
This week’s pick: Short plays sought for The Twilight Hour
Description: Writers are invited to submit a play no longer than 15-minutes for: “The Twilight Hour”season 3. The show will be based on The Twilight Zone TV series to be performed at the award-winning Canal Cafe Theatre.
What’s so great about it? If you want the chance to have your short piece performed at a renowned theatre venue in London, by a company with a proven track record of running successful new writing nights (Modern Times, Love Shots, Shorts @ The Canal, The Twilight Hour 1 & 2), then what are you waiting for? The brief is to write something with a Twilight Zone theme – fantasy, sci-fi, suspense, psychological thriller often concluding with a macabre or unexpected twist and usually with a moral, which sounds like fun to us! So if you fancy going for it, get your work to them by 5 July.
