Plymouth Cultural Education Partnership, alongside Theatre Royal Plymouth, are looking for freelance playwrights/ theatre practitioners with experience in facilitating playwriting interventions for children and young people. With Flying Colours is a DCMS funded Youth Performance Partnership programme which will enable children and young people to write and co-create plays in school.
If selected, you will work closely with young people in either a Plymouth based primary or secondary school to deliver playwriting/play-making sessions. In order to be considered for this project, you will need to have a proven track record of creating new work as well as experience of working with young people. It will be your job to cultivate their writing skills, help them to create ideas and then shape these ideas in to short plays ready for performance.
