Each week we look through our pile of writing opportunities to pick out one we think is particularly worth your time. It could be an innovative brief, great prize money, a high-profile company, or just plain fun.
This week’s pick: Chippy Lane Productions Welsh Female Writers Group
Description: In a bid to develop and champion emerging Welsh female playwrights, Chippy Lane Productions’ Artistic Director, Rebecca Jade Hammond runs a Welsh Female Writers Group. These sessions are four hours of fun, friendly, supportive and informative discussion. Writing can be a very isolating and lonely process so it’s good to share your work in a safe environment with other Welsh females. The sessions are based in London.
What’s so great about it? Are you a Welsh female writer? If so, we wanted to make sure you knew about this fantastic group Chippy Lane Productions are running. Not Welsh? Well if you’re female identifying you should also check out this awesome open list, Chippy Lane is putting together of female writers – you can access the document and get your name added here. We love promoting the work of companies who are doing fantastic work to bridge the gap and shut down inequality within theatre, so we hope that even if you don’t fit the demographic for these opportunities, you’ll still check out Chippy Lane Productions and help them spread the word!
