Each week we look through our pile of writing opportunities to pick out one we think is particularly worth your time. It could be an innovative brief, great prize money, a high-profile company, or just plain fun.
This week’s pick: We are looking for an Intern to join the LPW team!
Description: London Playwrights’ Workshop is looking for an intern to support our work. If you’re passionate about new writing, interested in blogging, and happy to give a wide variety of tasks your best shot, then we want to hear from you!
What’s so great about it? Well firstly, if successful, you’ll get to work with us (we are really nice, we promise)! You’ll also get the chance to be a part of supporting the next generation of playwrights through helping us to develop new resources, and by finding and posting opportunities. Not only will you be making a real difference to playwrights in London (and all over the world) but you’ll also get hands on experience of working for a theatre non-profit, blogging and assisting us in producing a new writing event – so this is a great way to develop skills which might help support your playwriting career in the future.
We’re looking for someone who doesn’t mind turning their hand to a variety of different tasks, who can work independently and deliver to (sometimes!) tight deadlines. The role is flexible, done from home, and can work around your other commitments – as long as you can commit to around 6-8 per week for a minimum of 4 months. If you’re interested, please apply by 5 November!
