7th Sense Theatre Presents CLASS ACTS: Callout for working class writers and artists

7th Sense Theatre are on the hunt for 5-15 minute ‘plays’ or performance acts of any form by working class artists, for a 2 night festival of new work at The Golden Goose Theatre, and we want to hear from you! This is an open opportunity to test-drive new material and present it to an audience and other creatives, with a networking social post shows on both nights.

WHEN: 30th June & 1st July
WHERE: Golden Goose Theatre (London)

What they can provide:

– A 5-15 minute performance slot at the Golden Goose Theatre, to scratch a piece of theatre or work-in-progress with an audience and get their feedback
– Basic technical support for the shows at the Golden Goose Theatre
– Professional photos of your piece in action
– We’ve got some rehearsal space at NDT Broadgate (8-10th June) and are working with Golden Goose to find extra space for companies who need it – give us a shout on the application form if that’s you!
– A chilled social space to network with other creatives post shows

What they’ll need from you/your team:

– Your lovely selves and your piece
– To run your own rehearsals and engage with your team as much as you need to
– Provide any props/costume the performance requires
– Provide any technical requirements and content warnings with as much notice as possible
– Be available all day for tech/dress on your selected performance day

*Just to clarify, if you’re part of a group, act or collective that isn’t fully working-class but is still working-class led/majority, this will still considered. For writers who don’t yet have actors/a director attached, we’ll do our best to make this happen for you, so please feel free to apply regardless* (More FAQs on the application form below)

 

Deadline: For acts hoping to grab a bit of our free rehearsal space from 8th-10th June, please apply by 1st June, 6pm.

Final deadline for all applications 18th June, 6pm.
