This 4-week course run by award-winning playwright, BBC Sounds writer and producer Georgie Bailey will give you the tools, techniques and knowledge to craft your own audio work. Whether you’ve got a piece you want to turn into an audio play, or are a complete newbie to the form, this course will provide you with everything you need to get an understanding of the wonderful world of audio.
Through each session, participants will get involved with in depth discussions of the platform, exploratory exercises surrounding how to manifest ideas based around sound and practical tasks which will culminate in a set of fresh off the print short radio plays. To round off, we’ll read each other’s work, offer feedback to one another and discuss our ideas in depth.
This course is designed as an introductory course which will look at the fundamentals of dramatic writing for audio, but we encourage participants of all ages and stages of career!
