Happier Scriptwriting course is accepting scholarship applications.
Tom Crowley is a writer, actor and creative educator based in London. His new online Happier Scriptwriting class focuses on developing a healthier attitude towards writing and rewriting, encouraging creative instincts and taking apart the mechanics of storytelling to improve the impact of a script. Tom believes that the image of the tortured artist is an unhealthy and unhelpful one and wants to teach scriptwriters less painful ways of working, as well as sharing the secret tips he has amassed in his career so far. One course comprises 5 two-hour live online lessons, plus a script report from Tom on the first ten pages of any project of your choosing.
The creative industries are in crisis. Opportunities for new talent have never been fewer or farther between and encouragement for fledgling talent is harder than ever to come by, so to do his little bit to redress the balance, Tom is offering up one place (worth £135) per course for free as a scholarship scheme. Applications are open to anyone who would like to improve their creative outlook and develop their writing skills but isn’t currently in a position to pay full price for a place. If that describes you, then click here for upcoming courses, pick a date and fill in the scholarship application form. After the submission deadline, one eligible applicant per course will be granted the free place by a random draw.
