Pint-sized Plays is now in its seventh year and recognised as one of the leading international competitions for short 5-10 minute plays. The 2014 competition is now open.
Plays can be poignant, funny or downright hilarious, but they have to be between 5 and 10 minutes long with only two or three characters and be capable of being performed in the actual bar area of a pub, using only available furniture and any props which can be carried by the cast. There are no restrictions in terms of theme (as long as it’s suitable for performance in a pub)
The six winners will be performed in pubs in Pembrokeshire starting Tenby Festival Week and then all ten plays compete at the Script Slam (where the audience vote for their favourite) held at Theatr Gwaun in Fishguard. Winning scripts will also be considered to be included in a published anthology of scripts – the first two volumes of which are now published.
How to apply: please visit the website for full rules of entry and to submit your play. There is a £5.50 entry fee for this competition.
Deadline: 31 May 2014
