BBC Writersroom are giving 40 aspiring screen, stage and radio writers the opportunity to attend a practical, hands-on workshop at The Lowry, Salford. It will take place on Tuesday 8 July 2014.
The workshop will take place from 2pm to 5pm, with a free lunch being served at 1pm for all attendees.
The workshop will be delivered by Henry R. Swindell, development executive for BBC Writersroom.
After the workshop, attendees will be asked to upload scripts, based on their learning at the workshop, by the end of August. All 40 will receive a professional script report on their submitted work by the end of October.
How to apply: you’ll need to become a member of IdeasTap and upload a dramatic monologue or short play (for stage, radio or screen) to your IdeasTap portfolio. Your piece must be one to five pages long. Before applying, please make sure that you are able to attend the workshop in Salford on Tuesday 8 July.

The winners of this brief will be announced on Friday 13 June.
