Page of Plymouth – Literary Residency

Literature Works and our partners are looking for a Page of Plymouth writer-in-residence – a poet, writer, storyteller, spoken word artist, lyricist or playwright – to play a central creative role in a unique project funded by a grant from the National Lottery Heritage Fund @heritagefunduk. Working in Plymouth with local people, the writer-in-residence will explore the stories and ordinary lives of people in late 16th-century Plymouth, focusing on a documented lost play, ‘Page of Plymouth’ by Ben Jonson and Thomas Dekker.

The Page of Plymouth writer-in-residence will be contracted for a total of ten days residency activity from October 2025 to April 2026. The fee offered is £4,500, including travel and subsistence averaging £150 per day.
