After the success of our inaugural BokFest last year – we’re back! (and better than ever) 💃
We were overwhelmed by the incredible response to the festival last year, and the outstanding quality of all submissions, so we’ve added an extra week to BokFest 2026 🗓️
We’re back at our home @thehopetheatre from 1-27 June 2026 where eight new shows from queer writers will have their first full run! 🥵
Submit your scripts NOW by emailing your draft and a synopsis to bokfest26@gmail.com by 31st January. We’ll read and respond to every submission 📄
BokFest was created to be an accessible, exciting and inclusive space for queer writing – supported and mentored by queer theatre makers and industry professionals. This year, we’re back with the same mission only on a bigger scale to support even more of the work we believe in.
