Callout for pre-existing 15 minute scripts for Framework Festival 2026!
These scripts can be excerpts of longer works or stand-alone short plays, and they should require a maximum of 3 performers.
The selected scripts will receive support from Framework Theatre to produce them in a script-in-hand reading – each script will be paired with an emerging director and a cast of emerging actors to support the reading.
Writers will:
– Self identify as an emerging/early-career theatre-maker.
– Be permanently based in Scotland.
– Have a pre-existing 15-minute script excerpt that would benefit from a script-in-hand reading.
– Have ambition to be a playwright within the Scottish Theatre Landscape.
Commitment:
The provision of a 15-minute pre-existing script excerpt (approx. 12-15 pages).
Attendance for 1 day in Glasgow on 26th June 2026.
Fee: £150 (Access & Travel support provided)
