WMC Writers is part of an initiative designed to amplify the voices of womxn & nonbinary artists with intersectionality explicitly at its heart. Led by writer, Guleraana Mir and director, Madelaine Moore, writing group offers a safe creative space to explore your writing, receive professional dramaturgy and peer led constructive criticism. For actors, directors and other theatre professionals attending, it is an opportunity to hear, read and support new work.
The October 2020 session will be held online on Friday 9th October, 6:30-9pm.
Writers with work will be allocated a 20 minute slot- 10 minutes to read and 10 minutes for a facilitated feedback discussion. We will ask for scripts to be sent in advance.
*Please note that by “underrepresented” we mean artists who may be marginalised by race, disability, sexuality or class and therefore find themselves underrepresented in the industry. The group is open to self-identifying womxn & non-binary artists only.
