Angel Exit Theatre are in the research and development phase of a collaborative project with Theatre Newfoundland, Canada. We are exploring the stories of the thousands of men and women who migrated from the South West over to Newfoundland to work in the cod fishing industry. We will undertake a week of collaborative, devising, research, and play in January at Lighthouse Poole (Week commencing 25th January 2021). We’re putting our team together and would very much like to find an artist with immigrant experience; either their own or second generation. We are particularly interested in working with artists based in the South West and we’re open to storytellers, actors, devisers, dance artists, and writers.
Fee: £500 for the week, plus per diems, accommodation (if not SW based), and travel expenses.
This project is funded by Arts Council England.
