Watersprite Student Film Festival is looking for eight short film screenplays for the 2021 Festival.
Pieces must be up to 15 pages long in standard industry format.
Entry is free and open to all students currently in education, or within a year of graduating. However, Watersprite is particularly interested in scripts that have not yet entered production, and writers without agent representation. Watersprite’s aim is to help new screenwriters develop their projects and to create a supportive process to actively benefit students’ writing.
The top eight entrants will receive extensive feedback on their screenplays from industry professionals, as well as the opportunity to attend an exclusive event during the festival weekend. The shortlisted screenwriters will be invited to join a network of student writers, who will have the opportunity to work closely with industry professionals and gain invaluable insight into the screen industries.
Further enquiries should be sent to screenplay@watersprite.org.uk
