Opportunities – Pick of the Week: The Queens of Cups: Submissions open for May’s New Moon Monologues on the theme of ‘Growing Together’

Each week we look through our pile of writing opportunities to pick out one we think is particularly worth your time. It could be an innovative brief, great prize money, a high-profile company, or just plain fun.

This week’s pick: The Queens of Cups: Submissions open for May’s New Moon Monologues on the theme of ‘Growing Together’

Description: The Queens of Cups are back with their latest New Moon Monologues! This time, they’re accepting monologues (or spoken-word pieces, songs, or pieces of solo choreography, anything that one person can do) on the them of ‘growing together’.

Why is it so great? With several successful New Moon Monologues already under their belts, this live-streamed event from the Queens of Cups returns this month with the Spring appropriate theme of ‘growing together’.  The pieces will be performed in a live-streamed performance at the Space Theatre in London on May 25th with an audience. To submit, writers are asked to donate £3.33 to a crowd-funding campaign which directly supports the creatives involved (you can let them know if you need a waiver for the fee) and every submission receives feedback! They are seeking monologues from underrepresented voices this month and you’ve got until the next full moon on 27th April to submit.
