The Young Vic Directors Program conducting research into innovative digital works created due to theatre closures –

The Young Vic Directors Program is conducting research into innovative digital works created in the last year due to theatres closing from the pandemic.

While led by Young Vic Genesis Fellow and Associate Director Jennifer Tang, this research is being collated by directors Chloe Cattin and Franciska Éry. The aim of this project is to find inventive digital theatre works performed between March 2020 and April 2021. Whilst it may have been made pre-pandemic, they are looking for work that has been made specifically, and/or adapted, for a digital platform(s).  They hope to find work that has pushed the boundaries of the digital theatre form in response to the challenges of the past year.

They are hoping to  collect as many pieces of work as possible to give a thorough overview of this challenging but also inspiring past year. They are asking companies/artists to submit their work via this short form here. The form is available until the end of Friday 4th June.  If you have any questions, please get in touch with  ChloeCattin@youngvic.org or FranciskaEry@youngvic.org.

Please note that all submissions are for research purposes only and will not be shared beyond the research team.

Deadline: 4 June 2021
