Live Theatre are now launching an open call for ten-minute short plays that reflect the contemporary lived experience in the North East right now.
From this open call they will select seven plays and award a commission of £1000 to each of the seven successful writers or theatre artists. Live Theatre will also produce and present these plays as part of our autumn 2021 programme.
They are keen to expand our existing network of North East writers and theatre artists and hear from new voices from within our region. To help us discover those new voices they will only be accepting submissions from writers or theatre artists who have had no previous work professionally performed at Live Theatre.
