The School of English Literature, Language and Linguistics wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Creative Writing (Theatre Script) 0.6 FTE (Teaching and Scholarship), for 12 months (fixed-term). The start date is 1st September 2021 and the end date is 31st August 2022.
You will have a PhD (in hand or near completion) in a relevant subject area and/ or a track record in the production and/or publication of significant, rigorous and original creative writing (theatre script), as well as proven experience in teaching creative writing (theatre script) to undergraduate students.
You will be expected to act as module leader and teach on the second-year module, ‘Theatre Script Workshop’ and the MA modules ‘Masterclass: Monologue’ and ‘Theatre Script Workshop’. They will also be expected to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate independent work. A record of high-quality practice-led teaching in creative writing (theatre script) is essential.
