As part of the BBC Performing Arts Fellowship, tutti frutti is seeking an individual who has shown dedication towards a career in theatre for children and who demonstrates potential to take the next step towards a professional career as a playwright for children’s theatre. tutti frutti is a national and international touring theatre company, funded by Arts Council England, who creates theatre for children aged 3-7 years.
The fellowship will provide:
- A tailor-made programme to develop your skills
- Guidance and mentoring provided by experienced staff and leading children’s writers
- An opportunity to explore your writing and experience working on a selection of projects
- Attendance at children’s theatre festivals
- Performance or readings of your work
The fellowship will take place between January and December 2015 through an agreed flexible programme.
Please note that this fellowship is subject to tutti frutti being chosen as a host organisation (confirmation to be received in November 2014). The BBC Fellowship is not a salaried post, but provides funding to cover expenses, time and resources needed to properly support and nurture a developing writer.
