Gillian Hush Award for Radio Drama

For the third year Arvon is pleased to present The Gillian Hush Award for writers of radio drama. The winner of the award will receive a free place on the Radio Drama course taking place in November at  The Hurst, Nov 2-7, with tutors Anjum Malik and Peter Leslie Wild.

The successful applicant will demonstrate why they would be unable to attend the course without the  benefit of a grant, and in addition present a strong personal statement explaining how the course will  help them develop their writing during the week and beyond.

The award is given in honour of the late Gillian Hush who was one of the BBC’s most distinguished and appreciated radio producers and was a generous supporter of Arvon.

How to apply:  To apply for this fully funded place please download a grant pack, complete the application form, and return it to Dan Pavitt, Centre Administrator, The Hurst, The John Osborne Arvon Centre, Clunton, Craven Arms, Shropshire SY7 0JA requesting the full course fee (£725). Please mark the envelope ‘Gillian Hush Award’. Alternatively you can submit the application electronically to thehurst@arvon.org, including ‘Gillian Hush Award’ in the title line.
