This week’s pick:Postcard Theatre accepting 60-90 minute scripts in new playwriting competition
Description: Postcard Theatre is currently accepting scripts for its’ new playwriting competition. They are looking for previously unperformed 60-90 minute scripts for casts of 2-5 which are suitable for a fringe production.
So, what’s so great about it? The winning play gets a full production by Postcard Theatre so this is a great opportunity to have your work produced by a professional theatre company. Postcard Theatre is based in the North West but they accept entries from anywhere so this could be a great way to make some regional connections and get a taste for working with a touring theatre company. They’re looking for full length plays (60-90 minutes) on any theme or genre so you might even have something which fits the bill ready to send! The deadline is 21 August, so you’ve got plenty of time to get your play ready. Oh, and the winner also gets 50 quid which is always nice.
