This week’s pick: Christmas Jumpers Theatre Night seeking short plays for charitable fundraising evening
Description: Christmas Jumpers Theatre Night is being staged on 10th December to raise money for ITV’s Text Santa campaign, which supports Save The Children, Make-A-Wish UK and Macmillan Cancer Support. They are seeking submissions of short plays (up to 15 minutes) for the evening on the theme of Christmas, for no more than 4 actors.
So, what’s so great about it? Apologies if it’s slightly early to be getting festive but this one seemed like such a fun opportunity, we couldn’t resist flagging it up. The night is all in aid of various worthwhile causes and it’s definitely the kind of event where you could get away with wearing your Christmas Jumper! What’s not to like about that? You haven’t got long to get your short Christmassy themed plays in by 4th November but they only need to be between 5 and 15 minutes long. So, why don’t you give it a go? We reckon you’ll thank yourself in December!
