Etch Theatre Company are looking for 5-15 mins of new writing that is considered by the writer to be still in development. They match writers with directors and help with casting. Each piece is then rehearsed to performance standard and will be performed on December the 14th at The Peckham Pelican London.
Their events consistently attract audiences of around 200. Past Etch scratch night audiences have included creative staff from The RSC, The Royal Court and The Young Vic. Past Etch scratch night creatives have included talent such as actor Mike Noble, director Debbie Hannan and Writer Oliver Emanuel to name a few.
Squint Theatre Company artistic director Andrew Whyment calls Etch “a furnace for new writing”, while Off West End nominated Stuart Slade says “Etch is pretty much the most inspiring, dynamic and relevant theatre project in London today.”
