Rondo Theatre Scriptwriting Group led by Gill Kirk will take place on Monday evenings from January – April.
The Rondo hosts a playwriting forum for anyone who writes scripts, at any level. The perfect opportunity to share ideas, identify problems and work through some of the tricks of the trade. There will also be visits from theatre professionals to give advice on getting your work shown.

New Scriptwriting Group leader Gill Kirk was selected for Channel 4’s prestigious 4Screenwriting Course in 2012 and was selected for the Screen Yorkshire Triangle scheme in 2014. In 2013, her work was shortlisted for the Screenwriting Goldmine Awards and the BBC’s Frank Deasey Award.
She has written extensively for theatre including, EVERYONE LOVES A STORY (Ustinov, Theatre Royal Bath), AN ANESTHETIC FOR BIRTHDAYS (Ustinov, Theatre Royal Bath), IT’S ALL ONE (Egg, Theatre Royal Bath), AWAY WITH THE FAIRIES (Alma Tavern Theatre, Bristol) and WATER’S NOT SO THICK (Rondo Theatre Bath). PASSION opened “Tales From The Beehive” at Islington’s Old Red Lion in 2012 and has subsequently been performed at The Tobacco Factory, the Vault Festival and Aberdeen DanceLive!
Gill has worked for twenty years as a campaigner and lobbyist on issues as diverse as Heathrow’s third runway, gun control, disabilities and VAT on incontinence pads. She worked in Labour’s Millbank film unit in 1997, ran for Parliament in 2001 and has just completed a year working in Whitehall as a consultant to government.
