A new award has been established in memory of writer Kevin Elyot, whose work spanned from Poirot to My Night With Reg.
The Kevin Elyot Award creates a writer in residency post that allows the recipient access to the University of Bristol Theatre Collection, where Kevin Elyot’s own archive is contained.
The Prize: The Award supports a residency of up to four weeks to support a writer in developing their work, using the Kevin Elyot Archive and other holdings within the collection to create a new artistic or academic work.
The financial award of £3,000 is designed to support a stipend towards living expenses, materials, and dissemination of the project.
