If you’re an individual working in the world of film and TV and you need financial assistance to develop your career, why not see whether the John Brabourne Awards could help you!
The John Brabourne Awards scheme is a talent development programme which provides awards of up to £5,000 to individuals working behind the scenes in film and TV. The award is now in its tenth year and its organisers explain that ‘…the intention of the programme is to support individuals who are talented and driven, but who have faced obstacles (be it personal or professional) in developing their careers. In addition to financial support, we offer help with development and industry networking.’
The John Brabourne Awards have previously given financial assistance with:
•Production and development finance
•Post production and festival distribution
•Living and travel expenses
•Childcare
•Tuition fees
•Short training programmes
•Secondments
The organisers stress that is not a definitive list and they welcome enquiries to discuss particular proposals prior to application.
The application deadline for the next round of awards is 31st July, 2016.
