Uncanny and surreal ‘Stranger Tales’ sought for Skint Theatre Festival (Bristol)

Skint Theatre is on the look-out for outstanding 10-15 minute performance pieces for its upcoming festival at The Island, Bristol, (28–30 April 2017).

The theme for this year’s festival is “Stranger Tales”. Skint wants  eccentric stories of the odd, uncanny and surreal.

Selected pieces will be performed for three days at Skint Theatre Festival April 2017. Each piece will be performed six times per night consecutively.

What to submit: 10-15 minute pieces suitable to be performed within an intimate jail-cell size space. These pieces can come from a company or solo-performer in any genre or form (scripted performance, physical theatre, spoken word, stand-up, interactive etc.) but should work as a standalone piece i.e. have a corresponding beginning, middle and end.

Notes for Playwrights: Skint Theatre says that at present it will not be co-producing performances for this festival. If you are a non-company writer who would like to submit a script to be performed at the festival please use the online form to detail how you plan to source actors to perform the script.
